I just found one called Fire Red Omega. It gives out a lot more Pokemon throughout the game, but it's a lot, lot harder. Each of the gym leaders has six Pokemon, Giov. has six Pokemon each time you battle him. Every Pokemon from the first three gens is available one way or another. No trades necessary to evolve Pokemon like Alakazam and Machamp. It's really good, I suggest you guys give it a try if you're not already too far into LG/FR normal.


Edit: Also, the new starters are Elekid, Smoochum, and Magby.

I've played this one before so take my word for it, don't face Brock until you're absolutely sure you're ready. On the way to him you will get a Treecko, Torchic, and Mudkip along with your starter. Just beat Brock and training the Mudkip into a Marshtomp and the Treecko into a Grovyle (both 16) was definitely worth it.

I downloaded the FireRed version but when I play the screen is really really tiny and yeah it's pissing me off. Therefor I'm waiting until I'm well tolerant of it before I get addicted :)

Jake, if you're using VisualBoyAdvanced then you can just maximize the screen. Hassan, go for it. I'm just a little bit past Brock and it's a ton of fun.

Just beat Lt. Serge at the price of my treasured Marshtomp. I was really hoping to use him against Blaine since you don't get Lapris at the usual place anymore. Have to make my way back to the guy who sells Magikarp... Dammit.
