I haven't read why changing the game client to allow fullscreen isn't possible. Is it possible? If not, is it because it's hardcoded to that size?

Its definitely possible, its just this is an 06 remake. Fullscreen didn't exist at the time. I don't see why it would be needed. :P

Things that are different than oldschool:

commands,
drops (tzhaar craftsmen came to mind, they don't gang on you),
dragon attacks,
2x experience,
content that isn't here yet (this doesn't count though).

The question is for client devs, is it even possible, and the other question is it even as game-changing as the exp rate? o-o

I have implemented fullscreen into a client before, and I have to say its not easy. But it IS possible. The problem I still see is some of the community not agreeing with it and Ryan actually implementing it.

It's 100% possible to have it be full screen, it's just time consuming. There are 377 clients (our current revision) with full screen abilities that would work with the current game. I can't really vouch for any though as someone's always trying to do something sneaky with viruses and RSPS's these days.

It's possible. Ryan had the RS SD and HD log in screen and a screenie of ingame with full screen but I guess we won't see it released. I asked Kevin a few months ago and he told me that's not something we'll have available :\

We have the ABILITY to do this, we are just not sure if we are going to go through the trouble.  We'd prefer to get content out first.

I am all for the content.

Personally I'm 50/50 on fullscreen vs. content. Fullscreen would be a cool attraction for an intro video. Really depends on the time though and if you say it's somewhat troublesome then go for the content man :>

Congrats on developer status. :3 I don't get how those clients could work with this game though. They have different assets that load in from a different server? :S
