I'm sure I say this for the majority..
Loading screen while logging in - Add a mute button.
Make it so when you turn your volume down or off while ingame, it remains that way after logging in and out.

Plain and simple.

-KersOne.

I think its fine the way it is. If you mute it ingame it closes it. So just login and mute the client, that or mute your computer. This really isn't a problem.

Kerser

the client doesn't work for me.. I've been using the browser version.

Karl

You can mute the application in the sound settings (on your os) it will appear as a browser.

Stuart

Then login and mute the webclient. Its the same thing.

I would agree to this.  I would prefer to have a way to permanently mute the log in music.  It's not really a problem to mute my speakers myself, per se, but having a way to mute the log in permanently would be nice. :)

Also, once I log in, the option for off, it doesn't stick either.  So I have to turn it off every time.  Not a biggie though.

It sticks with me unless i reload my client. I usually just logout and leave it minimized until i login. lol

Well of course.  If I only log out, but don't close the game, it sticks. :)

I use my browser, not the client.  And every night I clean out the cache and close it down, close down my IM, and then put my computer to sleep. :)

Besides, I can't see running java when I'm not using it. :)

I find it annoying as well, but still think the log in music should stay.

log in music should stay, we shouldn't add aspects that weren't in the original game, unless its game breaking.

I see your point, but they did change this due to the amount of people complaining.

Oh well, not really a biggie.   I guess I'm old school.  I was taught, and still teach, that you should never set music to start on any page, that should be the users option.

Exactly. This is a remake, which means its supposed to be an exact replica of runescape in 2006.

It is possible the Original Poster implied a reasoning in it as an option.  Myself, and other players that have a computer that just doesn't handle the music delivery, we have to put up with the score stuttering, and sounding utterly awful as the game loads.  It's better just to have an option to mute it, than muting everything until it goes away, less of a hassle.
