With a full inventory after mining gem

As you can see my player character refuses to stop mining until I clicked off offscreen.

The background talking is gibberish; I forgot to disable the microphone.

This is the result of the recent fix. Before this you would mine the ore but not receive it, receive the gem and receive a blitz error. I guess technically you should stop mining.
