But it doesn't work properly: e. g. if you select some music piece and you move into an other area, the music stops

The Music Player Doesn't work to an extent. Yes the music does play and all that but here are my issues

Loop doesn't work

if you pick a song and you go to a place where another song starts the one you pick will be stopped so the other song can play. Also what it should be is that the song u pick should be played throughout and then the song that is supposed to be played will be played after. If you have loop then the song u picked will be played over and over again

Another note is that don't like random songs play when you are in a area? Like one song say Workshop plays then another say Adventure plays.

Change the music player to manual mode instead of automatic and then the song will not change. :) The loop feature doesn't work yet;

and back in 2006 each area had set music, the random music was a new thing.
