Why climbing boots

Are climbing boots really that game breaking?

Quests take a lot of work to code, so I kinda understand why the devs aren't waiting to code the quest.

Yet they have left out other stuff until they code for their corresponding quests.. e.g rc etc . why should climbing boots be any different

Because climbing boots are pretty small compared to rc, slayer, herblore, ancient magicks or dragon scimmy. Though you are right ofcourse, it's pretty strange that some things get left out and others don't.

Suppose its to much hassel to remove them now...but in mean time code the quest first....it will make it more exciting!

its not a hassle at all.. ryan has a program to remove all items of a id out of everyones inventory and then take it out of the shop, it wouldn't be a hassle lol.

i think he meant that because some people paid like 4k to buy them off other players.

You can get climbing boots without doing a quest. You need them on several quests but you don't need to do a quest to unlock them.

That's what I thought, but you can only buy for 12gp after doing a quest therefore they still shouldn't be in game.

The quest would be a lot of work for something so little and simple. I'm sure the quest will come in time. I know they're working on some basic quests atm.

Time to clear a few things up:

The quest is death plateau.
I believe they have more important matters to sort out rather than something with 2 str bonus...
It's not a huge effect on the game. It also gives us another pair of boots to own considering leather is the only other option..
Also Skillcapes are about july 2006, Climbing boots were like 2004 i believe :s could be wrong don't see how they've got anything to do with this subject...
