Hi guys.
I'm having a problem with your downloadable client on my
Windows 8.1 64-bit PC.
First I had a problem with the "java is not recognized" message, but I fixed that thanks to your forum thread.
Now I have another problem which says "Sorry, an SocketEception has occured" and doesn't launch the client. It's really frustrating because I want to play your oldschool runescape private server but can't. Also, I haven't found a solution in your forum :S .
Here is a screenshot of my problem:

Thank you guys in advance,

I did that, didn't work. It seems like only I have that problem  :o

Do you have both 32/64 bit java and the latest versions?

Galleta

Had the same error, I downloaded RuneRebels.exe and now it works good. You should do it too.

Well I found out yesterday that java doesn't work properly on my computer as it doesn't display any of the have powered web content, for example runescape. It gives me a red text saying "error. Click for details" and it doesn't want do run the applet which is really weird as i have never encountered this problem before. I googled the problem, followed the instructions, downloaded jabs like a billion times but it gives me the same f***** error every time. So I know it's a bit much but can anyone of you guys teamview me as advised by your Facebook group?

Do you have any anti virus programs that could be blocking any connections for Java or the game client?

McCheese

The first thing I did was turn off my firewall. I don't have an antivirus installed at the moment... I'm gonna try to delete everything concerning "Sun" and "Java" in my registry. Then try to reinstall again. Hope that works :S

Okay. I found out that only Java 6 works for me. Java 7 does not which is really weird. f.e. I can play runescape3 normally with java6 but it gives me the "error. click for details" message when i do it on java7. I tried to play runerebels on java6 and it gave me a black screen. with java 7 it gives me the same message as for runescape. Solution anyone? please? :S
