I wanted to make a blue cape, and everything was coded!
The highwayman dropped the black cape
Wynston the Gardener sold me oak leaves
Aggie sold me blue dye
The blue dye went with the cape to make a blue cape;
and, the cape was wearable!

edit: NVM there is an error; when you put the blue dye with the cape you should get 2 crafting exp; I got 0.
