Genie Random Event Glitch

Once upon a time I was fishing and a magical blue Genie appeared. He insisted he had to talk with me but I let him do his own thing. As the Genie's impatience grew, I talked to him last second when I recognized he was about to teleport me. But as his dialogue appeared, I was also teleported outside lumbridge castle when I also received the Lamp from the Genie, thus failing and completing the Genie event at the same time.
