I have noticed a slight upturn in activity of late. Certainly, my smaller bank with all my new player giveaways seems to suggest  it.

Yeah quite a few of the old players are back atm including me,bong water,winning and etc.
I wonder how long it'll last tho since there is a reason why the old players quit...

Why did the old players quit? The official release of 07scape?

Yup a lot of players quit when 07 scape was released. (i was one of them :c)
Then i realized that the Jagex community is awful and came back :]

If many people quit due to the release of 07scape, I doubt there won't be another event which will significantly reduce our community (Jagex can't re-release 07scape twice... right?).

In the past, some people played this server because they just wanted to play a 2006/2007 server, because Jagex didn't make 07/06 servers available. So when Jagex released their "version", many people jumped to that server.

The people playing on this server now aren't likely to leave. Unlike back then (when people played this server because they just wanted a remake), the community is now composed of people who enjoy this server more than the 07 server (or can't be bothered to pay $7.50 monthly LOL).

Anyways my point is I think this will last.

I've been getting back into the server as well. I have realized as well that the community here is laid back and chill.

I am going to play the server soon hopefully, I've just been busy with other things, that doesn't mean I lost my interest though, I still love Rune Rebels, I hope to see you all in-game soon! :)
