From experience and from what I have seen.. words really can hurt people. Sometimes more than physical harm. It's a real psychological problem..

Yes, they do hurt your feelings, and when carried to far, they can attack your integrity.  And there has to be a point where you can have this stopped if you can't stop it yourself.

The saying meant that if you are attacked physically, then yes, you need to defend yourself physically.  If the idiot is only calling you names, then violence isn't the answer.

But, you are right, no doubt.

Suggestions, Compliments, And Questions / Re: SOUND
« on: February 16, 2013, 10:37:23 am »
It sticks with me unless i reload my client. I usually just logout and leave it minimized until i login. lol

Well of course.  If I only log out, but don't close the game, it sticks. :)

I use my browser, not the client.  And every night I clean out the cache and close it down, close down my IM, and then put my computer to sleep. :)

Besides, I can't see running java when I'm not using it. :)

I would agree to this.  I would prefer to have a way to permanently mute the log in music.  It's not really a problem to mute my speakers myself, per se, but having a way to mute the log in permanently would be nice. :)

Also, once I log in, the option for off, it doesn't stick either.  So I have to turn it off every time.  Not a biggie though.

Linux is cake if you get a decent version, if you get something like Fedora, good friggen luck.

I've never heard of that one.  Just debates (opinions) on which ones are the best.

Suggestions, Compliments, And Questions / Re: Nature altar general store
« on: February 15, 2013, 08:05:35 pm »

Desert, what do we do with the nats after crafting? Do we sell them back to the store? Or is this specifically to make a good goin? How much ea does the general store buy for?

No, carry gps and noted pure ess.  Sell the noted ess to the general, usually for 0 gps, then buy back for 1 gp.  It'll be un-noted.  A lot faster then banking.  I keep my nats.  So you'll end up with 3 places taken, but it's faster then banking.

Just do 10 at a time, and be quick.  Otherwise, someone camping at a general, will buy it.  An uncool thing to do, but many are uncool...

Just curious if the General store was added on Karamja, for Nature runs?

Here's a fix, as if you experience connection error your computer needs a fresh DNS cache as the world DNS IP was altered from your computer's log of it as of 02/15/13.  I've researched how to go about fixing this, and this may assist you if necessary again. WikiHow

People also need to be very careful when doing this.  I prefer RiiPiin's way.  It's a lot safer, and easy to fix if you make a typo. :)

Most of that is true, but the sticks and stones thing, has been proven wrong again and again, because words can REALLY hurt people.

Not true.  Not sure when they, meaning schools, (and parents), stopped teaching this, but it is most definitely true.  No bodily harm ever came from a word, and that is what it means.  And as long as you know the source, and you know yourself, name-calling will not bother you. :)  And, you will never take revenge over name-calling. :)

Btw...  Most people that use name-calling to back up their position, regardless the subject, doesn't have two brain cells they can rub together. ;)

linux may be safer, but it is def. not better gaming wise :P

Yeah, that's why I didn't go through the learning curve.  Reading at my forums though, many are figuring this out, but they are long time programmers.  And so much of what they say, is way over my head. :D

Symbols work for the forums/web site, but not for the game.

This is how linux users feel when there are updates; Woot, more free content!

What! :D Linux is better, and definitely safer then Windows.  I just wish I'd force myself through the learning curve. :)
