Tech Support / Re: Problems running client
« on: February 21, 2013, 07:41:23 am »
Nope, her tool didn't work, it says that "Java is not installed correctly", even though I just re-installed Java manually.

Here's the weird part, if I uninstall and re-install Java, everything works fine (NOT the downloadable client), but the web client works fine and there's no "Java has crashed".  But as soon as I restart my computer, its like Java decides to flip a switch and become useless.

I don't really want to keep uninstalling and re-installing Java, there has to be some other way.  I know there's a problem with my Java, I just wish I knew what it was so that I could fix it.  Also, I can't keep my computer in sleep mode forever, I need to shut it down or restart it once in a while.

Any ideas on what I could do guys?

I really appreciate all the help that you're giving me, thanks so much!

Are you sure you have JDK (Java development kit) installed (You should install it in Program files folder and not the Program file (x86) if you're using 64-bit windows)? I just tried the tool and it worked perfectly fine.

This exactly. Couple of years ago, i was playing this one P server that got DDoS'd constantly, but it didn't stop before they started taking legal actions. Once they took some legal actions against the DDoS'ers, it stopped.
exactly, its obvious these guys won't stop. They have something stuck up their ass to the point where they don't like seeing servers actully become sucsessful

They do it because they can. Most of them are around 15 years old and think they won't get caught because they're using some proxy they got from the interwebz. In reality, they will get caught quite fast and after they've been caught, they realize they shouldn't have done it.

Once they're caught and sued, they can get quite a large fine or up to 10 years in prison, depending on how much damage they've done. If one of the DDoSers sees this message, think for couple of minutes is it actually worth it.

The ammount of nightmares that I had from that...

If memory serves correctly, the game is called "Ski Free".  It came with some version of Windows (98 most likely), along with some other games.  Out of all of the other ames that came pre-loaded, the "Most well-known" is called "Chips Challenge".

You're correct.

This "guy" is the yeti or "snow monster" from that game and he's unbeatable. Doesn't matter what you do in the game, he'll always get you and eat you (Unless you play the "fast mode" ofcourse). In the fast mode, you could easily outrun him, but most people considered this as cheating.

The game is still available and works great even on Windows 7.

Already bought one.

EDIT: Alot of you want 'Dragon Slayer' but does anyone stand a chance against Elvarg at this point in time? I think only a few do.

The first time i beated elvarg in real RS, i was only level 36 with adamant fulls and adamant scimitar (F2p). If they'd be able to "perfect" it, there'd be a lot of people who could easily kill it.

Granted but only once <3.
I wish for 99 cooking

Granted, but you'll still burn everything you'll ever cook.

I wish for the genie that grants this wish a bad day.

Currently offering 75k for it.

I'd want all the F2p quests done. That way they'd be able to get all the F2p areas done before seriously starting to work on the P2p areas.
