Why are the feathers gone?

Now, before I start ranting about why feathers are disgustingly hard to come by, lets remember, someone made a post showing a youtube video wondering "Why is the rum gone?"  I invite you to listen to that video and when any reference to "rum" is made replace that in your head with "feathers" and you'll see where I'm coming from.

Anyways, there is one shop, maybe two if the fishing guild's is working, for 1,000 feathers in stock.  Anytime I go to that shop for feathers, there's what, maybe 100 left?  Am I to get my fishing level to 68 just to use another shop that's probably also bought out?  Who is hoarding feathers and selling them at 1500% markup?  How many arrows can you make buying that many feathers or how many fish do you have to catch that you buy that many feathers?  Why does your bank have to be filled with feathers?  Are you selling them?  I'd like to know, I'll go to you for feathers.

Chickens are not a viable source of lots of feathers.  Evil chickens are hard to come by.  Chompies are not in game.  I checked '07 servers, if they are bought out, they restock a feather a second, while our servers take a feather a minute.  There is one shop, ONE shop for feathers.

They dont always drop feathers trust me i have tried and when they do it varies between 5-15 feathers 15 being hard to get.
