Does the client still load and able to play? Because I've been getting something similar to that lately but I'm still able to play.

Ah, well unfortunately I won't be any help. I guess I can throw out there that since you switched to a 32 bit, you'll need the x86 java instead of the x64 one. I'm sure you already did that but I don't know, that may do something if you didn't. Sorry

I'm sorry to say, but making that switch you completely downgraded yourself. Windows 8 in my opinion is horrible and I didn't know that they continued to make 32 bits for windows 8....

I just got what you were talking about after I turned my computer back on. However, I decided to reload the client and it worked.

YESSSS i have finnaly fixed the problem!

this is how i did it :)

Do a wireshark,  you should see which end is closing the socket.

Click on Start > Run
Type: %appdata%
Look for the "Sun" folder.
It contains the installation folders of the previous version of Java.
Clear the obsolete ones.
Update Java.

- add a firewall exception for the Java binary.

- run with -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true (which disables IPv6 and uses
  AF_INET sockets exclusively)

- or disable stateful FTP inspection in the firewall (registry setting or netsh command)

I just close the bugged client, and re-run it. Works that way too.

Gratz :O. I also had a lot of errors on the c:\ thing the past few days and it showed a different client background. It got fixed today though, I didn't even do anything.

Hello, I'm new to RuneRebels, a friend showed me the game. Unfortunately I cannot play because of the same problem as described above. I tried everything from re-installing java and the client, shutting down my firewall and using different browsers. Still I get the fatal runtime error both in the webclient and downloaded one.

I can't seem to log on as well, the rr update server doesn't seem to be working and the worldscape client just boots up.
