There's like 3 posts about this. The chickens disappear because you're already in combat.

also when will the quest "dragon slayer" and "monkey madness" be coded?

It will take a while because first they're fixing the quest system, as I heard.
Also they're going to have to add 33 quest points worth of quests before making Dragon slayer &
add The Grand Tree, and the Tree Gnome Village before making Monkey madness
