It had been almost a month since the crew had decided to temporarily move to the Falador farm to avoid the plague spreading across the region. Although at first it took some time to adjust, but the team was enjoying the break. Bill, Alex, and Ryan loved to sit outside watching the cows roam around while sampling some of the weeds that they harvested from the farming patches. Of course, it wasn't all relaxing, they had been trying different combinations of crops and noticed that sometimes the plants disappeared before their very eyes. Alex was in charge of grinding up the various runes used in the spells to repair the crops, and occasionally when Ryan & Bill weren't looking he would eat some of the powder to get that lovely mind rune buzz. Overall, the farm life turned out to not be so bad!





Hello players! We hope are staying safe during all of the crazy world events currently taking place. This update is smaller than we hoped, but we've continued our razor sharp focus on farming and fixed many irritating bugs and added an entire new kind of crop you can plant! Thank you so much to Nijntje, Muse, and other players for helping us get the farming patches into glitchy states so we can repair the issues. Added the ability to cut through webs with the Guthan's warspear.

Fixed a crash in MakeItemListener.

Fixed a bug where seedlings and saplings were tradable.

Farming:
• Added tree farming!
• Added the logic for planting tree seeds in plant pots
• Added more specific varbit error messages. If you see these on login, please report them!
Fixed a bug where planting a sapling would consume the plant pot.
Added the correct behavior when attempting to water with an empty watering can.
Added the correct animation for the seed dibber.
Fixed a bug where mushrooms turned into weeds when diseased or dead.
Fixed a bug where swamp herb patches were using the wrong status bits for the dead / diseased versions, causing them to disappear.

As the plague continued to spread across Gielinor, more and more of the citizens left the major cities and starting picking up more leisurely activities. Bill and Bailey decided to head out to the Morytania farm patches and set up B&B's Swamp Produce, their new business centered around shipping high quality swamp produce directly to Alex back at the headquarters to sell to the citizens. However, when they arrived at the patch, they noticed that nothing would grow properly in it. They even got an angry call from Matthew that they had somehow screwed up his farm in Falador, which didn't make any sense! They called in Ryan to investigate, since the magic running the farms was ancient and hadn't been touched in years; they slowly began the hard work of restoring the farms to their former glory.





Hello players! We hope that you are all staying safe during the lockdown. We've taken a look at some of the longer standing bugs in the game and are making an active effort to stamp out the large obvious ones, especially ones with the core skills. We hope you enjoy the effort that we've put into Farming and the game engine, especially with the object bug, and will continue to work on a follow up Farming update that is coming soon. Blitz API:
Added varbit API.
Added API for manually triggering random events.
Added a common requirements API, including a check for if the player is wearing gloves.

Commands:
Adjusted the color of yells so that they aren't so bright.

Core 317:
Added the real object removal packet.

Mining:
Modernized the database table layout.

Marshmallow:
Fixed a bug in the weather command where you couldn't differentiate between users with the same first name.

Npc Spawns:
Added missing spawns in the Brimhaven Dungeon.

Engine:
• Made massive adjustments to the object system in an attempt to fix the object desyncing bug. Please report any issues you see on Discord.

Farming:
• Fixed a bug where an individual patch entering a corrupted death or diseased state could corrupt other patches.
• Completely reprogrammed compost bins to use varbits, fixing issues where they would appear to be in the wrong state or disappear.
• Fixed the patches at Port Phasmatys
Added farming debug command for developers.
Added some missing Farming Npcs.
Fixed an issue where bush patches with poison ivy berries could give the player red berries.
Modernized the database table layout.
Fixed a possible Blitz error on login.
Switched farming patches to use the server's varbit system instead of the custom solution in the plugin.
Fixed a bug where you could water swamp herb farm patches, possibly corrupting their state.
Moved all login code into a single listener, so when you login all farming patches update at the same time.

Tools
Added boy/girl chat variable.

Random Events:
Fixed the drop rate for Birds nests.

Woodcutting:
Modernized the database table layout.

Quests:
Fixed a possible crash in the dialogue system when an Npc died.

It had only been a short while since Bill had released his last quest scroll into the wild when the news came in. Alex burst into the headquarters with a newspaper in his hand and screamed "DID YOU GUYS SEE THIS!", waking Ryan up from his nap on the couch. "What the, see what?" replied a half asleep Ryan. "The plague in West Ardougne has spread to the east side!" exclaimed Alex. "They are saying that it might spread over all of Gielinor within a couple months" he continued. "Ahh it'll be just fine" said Bill as he strolled in with quest scrolls in each hand. Little did the crew know what the coming weeks would bring...

Hello players! We hope that you are staying safe during these difficult times with the current human malware that is spreading across the world. Our lives have definitely been impacted, so this is a bit of a smaller update than we originally hoped for, but we are working on additional content as well as an upcoming double experience event to keep you occupied while you stay at home! Fixed some shortcuts (such as the Ardy log balance) that would display "I can't reach that!".
Fixed many bugs with the existing Agility APIs.
Added additional APIs to make programming future shortcuts and courses easier.
Laid the groundwork for many of the future Agility courses.

Fixed the Edgeville Dungeon incorrectly being a multi-combat area.
Fixed the Varrock Sewers not being multi-combat.

• Added 'tab' hotkey to reply to the last private message.
• Added F hotkeys to quickly switch in-game tabs.

• Holding down the 'shift' key will now move the drop item to first option in your inventory.

It was the middle of one of the darkest nights of the month as Ryan and Bill teleported around Morytania, Bill modifying his Quest Scroll constantly while making note of all of the things that needed a touch of Ryan's magic to work properly. They worked quickly but carefully throughout the night until they saw the sunrise on the horizon. "Well, that ought to do it, I'm ready to get the hell out of here" said Bill as he sat down and pulled out a fresh Wizard's mind bomb. "Same" replied Ryan, as they opened up Port Phasmatys to the players and teleported back to RuneRebels headquarters. In the morning, they woke up to banging at the door. "Oh no, what did we do" said Bill as he slowly stumbled out of bed and opened the door. He found a whole crowd of players with a scroll of complaints about the new town. "The general store won't sell me anything!" said Nijntje; "and that Old Crone won't co-operate with me even after I gave in to all her demands!" they continued. "Also my chest disappeared" said Bailey. "Also the undead cows don't drop my favorite kind of meat!" yelled Brownay. "Thank you for the concerns, we'll take care of them right away" replied Bill as he quickly closed the door and grabbed another Wizards mind bomb from the fridge.

As usual, there are a couple of bugs to squash with every update, so we are very happy to announce the first hotpatch for Ethereal. Added correct dialogue and behavior for Ghost bankers and booths.

Clipping:
Added support for type and rotation for overrides table.
Fixed an issue where the chest for Ghosts Ahoy would despawn server-side.

Items:
Made all Ghost Ahoy quest items untradable.

Objects:
Made all of the "Pool of slime" objects clickable from any distance.

Prayer:
Adjusted the timing for filling buckets of slime from the pool.

Cooking:
Added ability to cook undead beef/chickens and added correct messages.

Npc Dialogue:
Fixed dialogue with Sir Lancelot to say man/lady depending on gender.

Npc Drops:
Added drops for Undead cows.
Added drops for Undead chickens.
Fixed a bug where Rock crabs and Dagannoths would drop noted seaweed.
Added 100% seaweed drop to the Giant Lobster for Ghost Ahoy.

Shops:
Added the Port Phasmatys general store.
Added Ak-Haranu's Exotic Bolt rack shop.

Tools:
Added double mark detection to avoid future bugs.

Quests:
Fixed a bug where Robin wouldn't ask you to play Runedraw and would instead immediately sign your Oak longbow in Ghosts Ahoy.

After fully recovering from the massive new years party, Ryan had started to join Bill on his missions to fill the eastern edges of the RuneRebels world with ghosts and monsters. Bill quickly teleported around the land with his magical quill and briefcase full of Quest scrolls as Ryan carefully worked on filling the missing parts of the spells to ensure everything worked properly. "Hey, there is one last thing I need you to do" asked Bill. "Sure, what is it?" replied Ryan as Bill teleported him to a giant pool of slime. Ryan quickly covered his nose as they appeared in the building; "Oh my god, this place smells worse than Alex's room!" explained Ryan. "Oh yeah, I have a command alias that automatically disables my sense of smell when I am here" replied Bill. "I just need you to wire all this up and also get the bone grinder upstairs working, I think it is pretty jammed up from when Alex shoved a bunch of runite into it" said Bill. "I'm on it!" replied Ryan as he began to head upstairs to dis-assemble the grinder.





Hello again players! 2020 has been off to a fantastic start with Bill knocking it out of the park on Quest development, and we have another one fresh out of the oven for you. We are extremely excited to announce that the Ghosts Ahoy quest has been added to the game, along with the Ectofuntus! This not only adds more exciting content to the game, but an awesome new way to grind Prayer experience. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did working on it!

Fixed a bug where the "Select an option" interface wouldn't disappear after using stairs that allow you go to either up or down.

Clipping:

Added the alternative dialogue for the men and women of Canifis if the player has the Ring of Charos equipped

Doors:
Fixed a bug with the Tree Gnome Stronghold main gate where it was inaccessible.

Added a new `RemoveAllItems` step.

Tutorial Island:
Fixed a Blitz error during the woodcutting section of the tutorial.
Fixed a bug where the welcome screen would appear during the tutorial.

Added the Ghosts Ahoy quest!

"Hey, wake up"... said a familiar voice. "Dude, you have to get up" continued the voice. "Hrmmm what?" asked Ryan. "Who is it?" he asked. "It's me, Bill" replied Bill. "You should probably wake up now, it's almost February!" continued Bill. Ryan quickly jolted awake and looked around the headquarters. There were empty beer glasses and leftover food everywhere from the New Years Double XP party, quest scrolls scattered all over the floor, and Alex was cuddled up in a corner with one of the camels from Al Kharid. "Holy crap, how long have we been asleep?!" asked Ryan. "Almost the entire month dude" replied Bill, as he continued to perfect the quest scroll that he was working on. "I just need you to check a few boxes on this and sign on the dotted line and it is ready to go!" said Bill happily. "What is it?" asked Ryan as he mindlessly signed the document. "It is my new experience!" said Bill as a crazy looking doctor appeared in a puff of smoke. "I'll be back soon" said Bill as he shrunk the doctor down and put him in a vial. "I have a castle to fill with monsters!"

After dropping a whole bunch of random players into the Barrows crypts and casting Double XP spells like they were dollar bills in a strip club, Ryan and Bailey headed back to headquarters to get some rest. However, as soon as they walked in, they saw that Bill had emerged from the Quest Library with an ancient looking cup. "Is that the Holy Grail???" asked Bailey. "You bet your sweet ass it is!" replied Bill. "It's all ready for the players to enjoy!" he continued. "Wait, did you guys leave without me?" asked Bill. "Of course not!" replied Ryan as he hid the remaining double XP spell tabs behind his back. "Lets go!" said Ryan as they headed back out the door to the magical world of RuneRebels.

It was another super quiet day at the RuneRebel's headquarters. Bailey hadn't seen Bill or Ryan in the main lobby in over a month; Bill had disappeared into the Quest Library as usual, and Ryan had been underground in the Barrows ever since Bailey had given him the specification scroll for the reward algorithm. The sound of a door being slammed open interrupted his train of thought as he went to see what all the noise was. As he approached the main entrance, he saw Alex dragging a cut down banana tree from Karamja into the living room. "Uhh Alex, what the hell are you doing?" questioned Bailey. "Oh, I was just bringing in our Christmas tree" replied Alex, as he continued to drag the tree, which was dropping squashed bananas all over the floor. "But that's not… you don't usually… I mean shouldn't we have gotten a… oh never mind" said Bailey as he watched the tree get stuck in a doorway. As Alex continued to fight with the large banana tree, part of the floor collapsed in as Ryan popped his head out of the ground. "I MADE IT OUT!" exclaimed Ryan. "Made it out of what?" asked Bailey. "I was testing the coffins at Barrows and got stuck in one" replied Ryan. "I finally managed to dig my way out, and I think it is ready to go!". "Awesome! I have something I think would go perfect with that" replied Bailey as he pulled out a handful of magical Double XP Tablets from his inventory. "I'm thinking it's time to celebrate the New Year!" exclaimed Bailey. Before Ryan could even reply, Bill popped his head of the door to the Quest Library. "Fuck yeah, do it" said Bill before closing the door. "Sounds like a plan!" said Ryan. "Whats with all the bananas on the floor? he continued. "Don't get me started…" replied Bailey as they walked out the main entrance to cast the Double XP spells.





Hello players! We hope that you are all enjoying the holidays and are ready for a new year! We are extremely excited for 2020, as it is going to be a fantastic year for RuneRebels with the content that we have in the pipeline. That being said, we know that everyone has been eager for the December update, as last month's updates consisted of only hot patches. We are super proud to finally release the Barrows minigame after a ton of work into it, and we hope you enjoy playing it as much as we did making it!

In addition to this new minigame, in order to celebrate the holidays and the new year, we will be running a Double Experience event from midnight December 27th until 11:59 PM January 3rd (EST)! Every player can earn double experience for up to 10 hours each day; after the 10 hours the effect will wear off, with the counter resetting at midnight EST each day. We hope that this gives everyone enough time to schedule in some of the grind as we work on even more content for you guys.

Finally, we just wanted to let everyone know that we've created a new item giveaway channel on our Discord server where players with the appropriate rank can run item giveaways! If you want to run a giveaway, ping us on Discord and we can give you the required rank. If you haven't joined yet, there isn't a better time!

Added support for sending a message when a player attempts to use a shortcut from the wrong location.
Fixed the level requirement for the Wilderness Agility course obstacles to be 49, so players can now boost their way past the initial gate and use the course.

After fixing that darn ladder to guild, Bill was finally ready to get some rest. He closed the blinds on the window to his room as he watched Brownay teleport away, and then slowly drifted off to sleep. After a nice reset, Bill went downstairs to start brewing some high quality gnome coffee. However, on his walk to the kitchen, he noticed out of the corner of his eye an absolutely MASSIVE pile of envelopes with spider icons on them. "What in the world are these?" said Bill. Almost instantly, Baily popped his head out of the massive pile of letters and exclaimed "why, these are the Discord bug reports of course! I've been living underneath them for weeks now!". As Bill stared blankly at the pile, Ryan walked into the room. "Hey guys! Whats going onnn...." said Ryan, his voice slowly drowning out. After making eye contact with the two, and then gauging the size of the pile of letters, Ryan slowly backed out of the lobby and ran upstairs.




Hello players! We have yet another hot patch for you with some minor fixes to the game. We are still keeping an eye on the bug reports on Discord and are fixing as many easy bugs as possible. We hope you enjoy the update!

Bank:
Fixed a bug where multiple empty slots in the bank would result in items not shifting correctly.
Fixed a bug where the bank would send messages about not having enough space when withdrawing noted items.

Items:
Fixed a bug where raw and cooked lava eels were tradeable.

Core 317:
Added support for packet 25 (item on ground item).

Core 317 Clipping:
Fixed a bug where some Npcs would still be safespottable diagonally.
Fixed a bug where you could walk through the TzHaar entrance.

Engine:
Added support for ItemOnGroundItemEvents.

Free to Play:
Fixed a bug where almost every interaction on Free to Play worlds would also give you a message about it being a member's feature

Firemaking:
Added the ability to use a tinderbox on the logs that are already on the ground.

Special Attacks:
Fixed a bug where the Dragon Battle axe's boost was calculated incorrectly.

Slayer:
Fixed a bug where Werewolf tasks could not be completed.
Fixed a bug where Rockslugs couldn't be finished off.
Fixed a bug where Desert lizards couldn't be finished off.

Shortly after the launch of the last update, Bill went to his room to get some rest. He had just finished crawling under the covers of his brand new Quest Cape sheet and comforter set when he was interrupted by a bunch of players banging on his window. He got up and wandered over to the window to open it up, wondering what the players could want at this hour. "Ladder broke" exclaimed Brownay after Bill opened the window. "What?" said Bill. "Ladder broke" repeated Brownay. An awkward silence followed, as they stared blankly at each other. "The ladder in the guild is broken" repeated Brownay. "Damn it" replied Bill as he shut the window and headed back to the Quest Library, his Quest Cape pajamas dragging behind him.




Hello players! We hope you are enjoying the content added in the last update. There were a couple of bugs related to the new content that we wanted to fix, along with some annoying ones that we've seen mentioned on Discord that we figured we could quickly smash. With that being said, we hope you enjoy this hotpatch!

Combat:
Fixed a bug where going up a ladder while dying freezes your account from moving

Logs:
Added deaths to player logs which displays items lost and kept on death

Ladders:
Fixed the Heroes' Guild ladder for the basement

Music:
Added music to The Rogues' Den

Actions:
Corrected the way a player picks vegetables out of the ground

Messages:
Added the correct messages for picking wheat, onions, cabbages, potatoes, and the messages for inventory too full

Sounds:
Corrected the picking up item sound

Food/Drink:
Fixed Lava Eels healing 14 hp to heal 11 hp
Fixed Stat restore and Super restore potions from draining boosted stats


Areas:
Made the Ice Queen's Lair multi-combat

Npcs:
Fixed bug that was causing diagonal safespotting
Fixed npcs' magic attacks showing up on other height levels (like the Infernal Mages in Slayer Tower)
Fixed the Ice warriors in Ice Queen's Lair to use the correct ice warriors
Removed weird Ice giant spawns that shouldn't have been in Ice Queen's Lair
Fixed Moss giants' aggression by considering the player's combat level

Herblore:
  Fixed bug where mixing herbs with vials of water would cause false "too low level" messages

Cooking:
  Fixed lava eels to never burn when cooking

Prayer:
Made it possible to bury bones while walking

Magic:
Made it possible to alch, as well as do any other magic spell, while walking

Bill wandered throughout the halls of the Quest Library while a pile of almost finished quest scrolls sat on his desk. He hadn't seen Ryan in over a week, he had left the headquarters to go pumpkin picking and hadn't yet returned. He glanced over at the quest scrolls, wondering when Ryan would be available to help finish the final enchantments on him. As he walked down one of the member's only aisles, one nearly empty scroll caught his eye. "Heroes' Quest" he said, as he read the title out-loud to himself. "Being a hero can't be that hard" said Bill, as he returned to his desk with the scroll in hand and his magical quill in the other.





Hello again players! We hope that you are having a wonderful spooky season. While unfortunately we don't have anything super spooky for you at the moment, we do have something that we think you will like! Bill has been absolutely destroying it over in the quest department, and we are extremely happy to announce the launch of the Heroes' Quest! We know that there is a lot of content guarded on this Quest, and can't wait for you guys to enjoy it. We also have many more quests in the oven for the holiday season, and can't wait to share them with you!

Added support to the new boss system for overriding the attack option.

Fixed a bug where bank slots would shift immediately when withdrawing an entire slot.
Added various missing messages when attempting to do an invalid action.

Added correct slayer task complete message.

Marshmallow:
Fixed yells from Marshmallow not being green.
Fixed Marshmallow not picking up yells using the ::y alias.

Item Wield Requirements:
Fixed Antifire potion requirements to not require starting Dragon Slayer.

Added Fancy Clothes Shop in southeast Varrock.

After taking some time away from the Quest Library to eat some food and wash his new blue shorts, Bill decided that it was time to venture back in. After gathering the supplies he required and loading them into the sled that Alex stole from Santa, he began to push it into the library. "What exactly is all that for?" asked Bailey as Bill passed him. "Oh, this is just some of the stuff I need while I chill in the library." replied Bill. "You need two dozen meat pizzas, six cooked beef, six cooked chickens, thirteen pies, and the entire minibar in the library with you?" questioned Bailey as Bill continued to struggle to push the sled. "Yeah, I'm gonna be in there for awhile" replied Bill. "Alex, get over here and help me push this thing!" continued Bill. "Oh dude that is a ton of food, you trying to hit up the Wizard's gym with me?" said Alex. "Uhh, totally dude; just help me push this and we'll go" said Bill. "Ah sweet!" said Alex as he helped push the sled into the Quest Library. A few seconds later, Bailey heard Alex mutter "Are you kidding me" as the sound of a teleother spell being cast in the library drowned out his voice.

One Month Later...

Petter was sitting on the couch in the lounge counting his stacks of gold while Onur rolled around on the floor. After what seemed like an eternity, Bill finally emerged from the Quest Library. Inside of the stolen sled where the remainders of the glorious food that Bill had brought in the library, along with four glowing Quest Scrolls. "Oh my lord" said Petter; "are those for me?" he asked eagerly. Bill slowly walked over while holding the radiant scrolls in his arms; "These are for the players!" he exclaimed as the scrolls vanished in a flash of light.





Hello players! We hope that you enjoyed the Quests that were released in the last update, because we have a whole bunch more for you this month! Bill has been absolutely destroying it in the Quest department while simultaneously pushing the quality and feel of the game towards perfection. This update includes a toooon of quality of life improvements, such as speed adjustments for clicking on objects, and even a super fast in game world hopping right click option on your friends! We hope that you enjoy this update as much as we did creating it.

Added snow effect filter to the ice path.

Converted all existing bosses to the new advanced monster behavior system.

Bank:
Fixed a ton of false "player is not in bank" messages.

Blitz API:
Added AntipoisonOnNpcEvent.
Fixed use of an API not available in Java 5 that caused World 3 to Blitz Error on login.
Added all new advanced Npc behavior system for things such as bosses.

Castle Wars:
Redid all of the Castle Wars stairs with the new stairs system.
Fixed a bunch of Blitz Errors in the game.
Fixed the bandage tables and other tables not working.

Client:
Added right click "Hop-to" option on friends to switch to their world.
Added support for new engine style color and image tags in the text engine.
Added ::toggleroof command to toggle roofs.
Added the ability to use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out.
Added ::toggleitemnames command to toggle names above ground items.


Crafting:
Added support for 'perfect' gold.

Commands:
Added commands to mass spawn items containing a certain string.
Added ::world/::hopto command to quickly hop worlds.
Added ::clientcommands command to list all of the available client-side commands.

Core Engine:
Moved Npc option code support into the game engine.
Mode the plugin move players to the correct side of a ladder if used from the wrong side.
Fixed an issue where some doors couldn't be clipped through even when open.

Core 317 Clipping:
Made massive improvements to Npc clipping and movement code.

Dialogue:
Added dialogue for Woman (3226).

Herblore:
Made Antipoison, Superantipoison, Antipoison+, and Antipoison++ actually cure poison and make the player immune for the appropriate amount of minutes for each potion.

Tools:
Fixed a bug related to CheckDynamicPart step when used on objects.
Added ReplaceItems step to the cutscene editor.
Added support for a DialogueEndedEvent for running code when the player exits dialogue.
Added support for listening for NamedEvents.
Checked all of the "continue conversation" checkboxes by default.

Npc Spawns:
Added additional spawns in Mort Myre.

Engine:
Made item option events and item on item events cancel dialogue.
Added "nothing interesting happens" messages when an event isn't handled.
Fixed bugs related to which items are marked as destroyable.
Fixed a bug that would cause players to "slow down" while running and clip diagonally at odd angles.
Fixed timing issues to event dispatching when clicking on objects and other entities.
Added support for using variables in the ItemChat item ID field.
Fixed major bugs in the async scripting system that caused players script variables to be shared with other players. Fixes weird bugs like players causing each other to get stuck in Agility pipes.
Added %NPCNAME% chat variable.
Added bonuses for black and blue Wizard hats.
Stopped additional aggressive Npcs from attacking players if they have lost connection.

Free to Play:
Stopped the free to play area restrictor from despawning dynamic Npcs for members quest. This caused the Temple Guardian to be deleted for many players in Priest in Peril.
Moved Kharid Scorpion code into a script.
Added script for Monk Healing.
Stopped the members gate from making opening sounds on free to play worlds.

Mining:
Added support for 'perfect' gold.
Members:
Added the Witchaven Dungeon puzzle.

Shops:
Fixed issues with Scavvo's Rune Store.

Smithing:
Added support for 'perfect' gold.
Fixed a bug where two players could share one hammer.

Slayer:
Added correct messages for Fungicide spray refilling.
Fixed Zygomites not counting towards their slayer task.
Added the ability to refill Fungicide spray.

Karamja:
Migrated dialogue for Npc 380 into the dialogue editor.

Item Wield Requirements:
Fixed a bug where the Anti-dragon shield required 60 defence.
Removed the requirement of starting Dragon Slayer from the Anti-dragon shield.

Added ability to use NamedEvents to allow plugins to trigger dialogue and start from a specific mark.
