Let's say we leave the game as it is;
* No update
* No vital updates for an admitted 3-12 months.
* Slimmer chance of gaining more players.
* LESS for us to enjoy for now.
If we disable quest requirements;
* Update
* More aspects of the game accessible [Items, Areas etc]
* More traffic for the server as there is more content.
* If we get more of the existing players on we could gain more new players.
The main thing out of this is I just want to see the game grow collectively and get more players in-game. I know that these guys have worked so hard on the server so it's sad to see that a server of great potential is lacking a deserved strong player base. As previously said, this would only be temporary until the server is updated enough for it to be implemented. I don't see the issue in doing this.
Adding dragon weps and stuff only solves short term issues. We'll gain players for a few weeks (Like when 2.0 was released) then the server will go back down to the player amount it has now. We won't gain permanent players until we see daily/weekly updates which most likely won't happen. All the things you want temporarily available only helps veteran players, not new players.
Let alone no one advertises.

With a rep system people will start being more helpful, and will post more thoughtful replies\posts in hopes of getting higher reputation. This might be worthless now, but when we have much more players I think it'll do a good job. Thoughts?
People just farm Rep while others just ignore it completely. I'd like a Thank system though.

As much as I stand by my view point, I sort of agree on this, but only for Canifis & Zanaris. I'd say if they were released that would make a lot of things different, like the best armour and weapons would be totally different. Both those locations being released would introduce whips, rune boots, g mauls, dragon longsword, dragon dagger, dharok, ahrims, veracs, guthans, torag, & kharils, which would be amazing... but then again I was wondering why not just release the half-assed versions of the quest rather than just having those two locations accessible to everyone?
Lost City is broken after talking to the first NPC lol. Priest in Peril has like 90% object dialogue and we don't even have that yet.
I would like Canifis and Entrana available, maybe Barrows but not Zanaris. There's no sense of accomplishment if we can get dragon weps. Having Entrana available sets up Troll Stronghold and agility though. With Canifis we can get colored gloves, boots, and finally have access to more slayer monsters.
#Finally done with the large amount of crap I had to do over the weekend.
I'd be flash praying using range.
I used Barrage with Salamanders/Rune cbow/DDS tho. Melee is equally as slow if not slower without a whip and super sets. I'm fine with Rune arrows and range pots.
