« on: March 03, 2013, 07:57:06 pm »What's happening is, people are getting on 2-4 accounts, and mining ess, and later trading it to their main account. So in other words, they have a 4x advantage on people who don't multi-log. There are two big problems with multi-logging:
- The multi-loggers can get very rich by selling all the ess they get
- IT'S FREAKING CHEATING!!! Trading between your own accounts has ALWAYS been banned in RS! And for good reason!
Seriously, it's not going to hurt you if you ban multi-logging! All you have to do is check IPs maybe once per day, see if someone is using multiple accounts, then check the trade logs to see if they've been trading each other!
So you want something perfectly abiding by the rules to be illegal just because you're too lazy to do it?

« on: March 03, 2013, 05:49:24 pm »You guys look bored. It's just bad luck we got DDoS'd offline while ryan was in the hospital, after he gets back he'll start the worlds up and we'll be fine. It was just a temporary attack, that knocked everything offline, and it was only like 30 minutes.
Anyway, Dev's don't have access to the world VPS, and i have access to the website vps, and looking through it i'm not actually sure which method we got attacked by, but i'm pretty sure the login server is down.
Or Jagex took the law into their own hands, poisoning him and DDoSing the server

Moparscape is currently being ddos'd by the same people here. Whoever is ddosing must really hate us because our anti-ddos vps can't do anything to stop it. We have no controll over it so i'm sorry but you guys are going to have to wait. We can't do anything to resolve it because first of all, this guy is using proxys from several different countrys so there is no way to actually get a hold of him/her and secondly, taking legal action would mean an end to our sever due to the fact that having a private server isn't techniqaly legal. I'm sorry for the inconvenience guys, but there is literally nothing we can do. We just have to wait it out.

Just because you wont "give up" doesn't mean you wont face legal actions from Jagex.

PRS06's excuse was being DDoS'd and they've been offline for almost two weeks now. Granted I trust the guys here a little more but then again you never know.

OfficialProjectRS06 belongs to Axel, a admin who quit from the ProjectRS06 administration and now campaigns for us. He makes comments on videos that people made of Rune Rebels. The "real" ProjectRS06 channel is now "RealProjectRS06".
ProjectRS06 has shut down anyway, their site is no more. Unless their players come to us instead of playing the 07 servers, I doubt we'll increase in players.
Nobody is going to pay money to play something they can play for free. Especially since 2007 is a crappy year to remake anyway I personally prefer 2005 Runescape but this is better than nothing

Are you kidding? Do you know how many people played PRS06 that haven't been able to for 3 days? I just migrated from there and I've noticed already 4-5 members saying they're from there in the last hour alone. When I get off work tonight I expect that rate to have doubled

I'm here and I'm here to stay. To hell with the ProjectRS06 staff they handled everything terribly from the updates to the rollbacks to deleting the site and blaming it on a DDOS attack instead of admitting they couldn't handle the project. The staff here seem competent and they actually can speak proper English.
