General / Why Do YOU Play?

I happened across a conversation with "Dior", which lead to a discussion about what truly is the objective, or "point" of this game.
We had conflicting views, and I'm very interested in hearing what your personal opinions are.
So tell me, fellow rebels: Why do you play? What do you think are the main objective(s) of the game? At what point would you consider these objectives reached? Do you believe there is a definitive end to the game?
Answer all or any of these questions, if you would like.
I'm looking forward to reading all of your opinions.

Fixed bugs / "you've discovered a serious bug in the game code"

This happened while I was crafting Leather Bodies. I typed out a whole description of the order of events leading up to the bug, but the forums decided my attachment was too big and redirected me to a random thread without saving any of my post - so if you need any more information, let me know.
