Title: Emergency: What's happening now
Post by: Kevin on March 02, 2013, 08:44:13 pm: Ryan has been very sick the past week or so, having horrible pain in his throat and his left ear. He went to the doctor about a week ago and they gave him some anti-bionics. They didn't do any good at all, no pain relief after tons of pain killers.

Today he woke up feeling even worse, he went to the ER where they put him on morphine. They had to send him to an ENT(Ear Nose Throat) Doctor. They at this point already had an IVY in his arm (Picture shown below)

So they had to transport him by Ambulance. Once at the new Hospital they gave him so more morphine to relieve him of all his pain and they then went and did surgery on his tonsil.

He is now laying in a hospital bed, and they are keeping him there over-night and in the morning will do an evaluation to find out if he is doing any better. Right now he feels amazing, but morphine will do that to you.

So just bare with us for a few days, there will be minor bug fixes that come, as we can continue working on the game without Ryan, but there will be no 'major' updates or bug fixes for this week.

Also, no matter what your doctors say, don't allow them to give you morphine for more then a couple days. It's an extremely dangerous drug!

And, don't worry about us. We have enough on the game to keep us busy, so get well. :)

Every time I walk past a person I get a "hello" message and it's great to see that people interact with others, people be nice to each and every other person and respect them as they would want to be respected back, the good community of 2006 and how it really was in Runescape is here, at Runerebels. Having to see people leave is sad being honest, I don't care how bad this sounds but for every person that leaves, a new one will join. I hate seeing people leave but if it's a last resort option, then farewell and you will be missed!

The DEV's of runerebels aren't going to give up so easy, DDoS attacks are 99.9% unable to be prevented. All you can do is wait it out.. Anti DDoS protection only informs you if your being DDoS'd or protects against minor attacks, as you can see, this isn't minor.

At this point we are probably not being DDoS'd anymore, we are just waiting for ryan to get back to start everything back up :)

He is now released from the hospital and has to grab a few things for college(He is missing his first day of college because of all this). And he will be getting the game server back online.

I know how hard it must be for him to miss his first day at college, I missed my first couple of major exams and have to resit them meaning I now only have one chance to pass :(

We're not shutting anything down due to a DDOS attack, we just need to wait for Ryan to restart it, since he's the only one with VPS access.
