hi guys, im brand new to the server and i wanted to really play it, however i can't with the webclient or downloadable one
Do you get any errors?

Make sure you have the latest version of Java. If you are on a Mac, you MUST use the downloadable client. Webclients don't work on Macs anymore after the Java 6 update.
Does it come up with restriction from running the game because the certificate is out of date? I used to get that all the time, a quick Google search saved the day
