This screen rip shows an actual load of iron 100% smelt without the ring of forging.

No taking iron out of the bank to fill the empty slots showing the bottom chat with successful smelts, I actually smelted a 100% smelt on this load.

Smith level after 45 doesn't help iron% chance of smelt. I believe it starts at 50% at 15 and grows to 80% by 45.
