Community Event for July 19
Sorry guys we thought the event was going to be this week but we are going to have to push it back a week due to the late replys on the "Ideas" thread. We wanted to get a few more and it ended up getting replys later than we expected.
Thanks to you guys, we got some valuable feedback for our future events and would like to thank those who contributed. For those who haven't given a thought or two, we are still taking ideas so head over to http://www.runerebels.com/smf/index.php?topic=4982.0 (http://www.runerebels.com/smf/index.php?topic=4982.0)
What is this community event going to have?It will have prizes, some awesome games, and a chance to get to know your fellow community members!
Wow! That sounds awesome, when & where will this be happening!?It will be happening on the 19'th of July at Lumbridge at 7:00 GMT.
What can I expect at this event? You can expect the some members of the staff team to be there that's for sure! Besides us, you can expect some creative games and prizes to be handed out to the winners. You won't want to miss out :)
Again thanks to you all, and we hope to see you all there.
Just make sure the rewards aren't too much..
7 GMT, you do realize North American players will either have to stay up late or wake up very early, right?
I tryed to get a time suitable so that we can get more people in. The time isn't set in stone if alot of people want the time to be moved up, then we can do that. Most people who commented on the suggestion page asked for a timing around that.
It is difficult to hold a global event for everyone. If you have to with opposite time zone groupings, I'd say it would be best to hold two events, each for the time groupings. Though, I am usually awake at that time anyways, but I fathom that not too many other Central Daylight/Standard Time zone people are, though.
Is it possible to get this event postponed to Saturday as I'm not home at Friday :p
I don't wanna miss this thing.
I shall be there, with cake...for myself...no cake for you....
I always miss out community events!! :'(......
Miss me? Deal with it... 8)
North American here :P probs gunna miss it but Ill try :)
I can offer a pretty nice first prize if you want happy.
I'll try to be there.
No promises though
Donations are appreciated. If you can donate for prizes at the end, you can contact me ingame and i will stash it away for the event.
7:00 GMT?
Like, 7:00 A.M. in the GMT timezone? If it is A.M., I must point out that for even somebody who lives in that timezone, it's inconvenient.
I live in Canada, Ontario (my timezone is EST), so the event will be happening at 3:00 A.M., correct?
it's pm and it starts in one hour

P.M.? Okay, that explains a lot, thanks. You said it starts in a hour though, right? I'm just confused because it's Thursday, July 18th today... :l

How the **** is 3 P.M. early? Lol.
So what time would it be for central time for a canadian?
Huh, 7pm GMT? That would make it more reasonable to a time frame. Here I was ready for going this morning.
If this was 7am GMT, 2-3 am is near day break for Americans with time calculation. Anybody using the reference of 24 hour clocks and actually referring to evening hours in single digits without saying so should be shot with an air soft gun, preferably where it doesn't penetrate.
I'll attempt to make an appearance and record some of it :p

The event will be at 2 P.M. in central time I believe, one hour behind Eastern standard time.
