Title: Hiscores lite
Post by: 99 on February 05, 2013, 02:29:04 PM
It would be really helpful if there was a lite version of the hiscores, and even more helpful if it was exactly like RS's lite system.

I wouldn't think so. I doubt they've copyrighted or patented that system... It could always be changed, too.

Jagex doesn't have copyright on text on a page that is separated by commas and spaces.

Support. We really need this.

And what exactly is the point of this 'lite' system? Sorry but all I saw was xp amounts on a page.

It's for easy information extraction for automation systems.

Jagex doesn't need to show a copyright tag for them to own a patent to their property.

Jagex cannot own this system, it's just a bunch of numbers.

My original comment was pointed at the people who wanted it exactly like their hiscores page.

Our hiscores page doesn't run off HTML 5 and shit that Jagex uses to make their website look spiffy. It loads perfectly fine, and its easy to use.

It would still be a lot easier to set something up to grab hiscores.

Use the signature generator then.

What if someone wanted to make their own? Or make something like RuneTrack?

Then let them. A generator and a hiscores page are two totally different things.
