3038.what year would you guys want it to resemble the most?
I think they will be santa hats OR yo-yo's. I don't really understand the second question since santa hats were released in 2002 and yo-yo's in 2004.
Reason why I say santa hats is because when most of us joined RS, I don't think many of us had the opportunity to experience the event. I think most of us started around 2004, at least I did. As a result, santa hats were rare when most of us joined and with the advertising most likely going to be next year, most of the new players will miss the event like they did on RS. Then again, people might multi log or something to get more than one hat.
As for yo-yo's, I brought that one up because it won't ruin the economy in any way like the zombie head.
I say 2014's christmas event will be the scarfs and hats XD (The best RS holiday event ever)
2005 one! Make the hats and scarves untradable please. Don't introduce any rares that are tradable until we get a larger community. Smaller community will just hoard the rares until only few select people have the entire stack of rares... that would break the economy of the item.

All I'm asking for is the best christmas RuneRebels can give. The only active players are dedicated players, and we deserve the best ;)

This. I also don't know how people really figure tradable rares 'ruin the economy', when they in fact stimulate it by creating a commonly exchanged luxury item which causes large amounts of gold to change hands, as opposed to sitting in peoples banks (given they aren't mass hoarded by 25 players, like Gold mentioned earlier).
EDIT: I should mention I think holiday events should follow chronologically with classic RS - meaning Christmas Crackers this year, Masks next Halloween, then Santa's etc... This will more or less ensure they rarity and tiers of those items will match those of the original Runescape.

Lol when we do christmas crackers I can assure you, this will not happen :PAll I'm asking for is the best christmas RuneRebels can give. The only active players are dedicated players, and we deserve the best ;)

Another server is doing christmas crackers and I have got to say, they either didn't test the event out or they just ruined the economy. I started playing for like 2-3 hours and I already found 9 christmas crackers. The crackers spawn in the same spots at a random rate. If RuneRebels decides to do christmas crackers, I hope it's nothing like this.

Agree 100% with this, but there could be a problem. What if let's say everyone gets 1 cracker each and they get a coloured hat, what happens if there's colours missing? like 20 people have had a cracker everyone has either gotten blue, green or red. where does the yellow, purple and white come in?
with 1/6 chances of getting a specific party hat, I don't think that'll happen.

For the record, the pulling rates for each color aren't actually equal.

Plot twist! RuneRebels is actually Jewish and you all missed the Hanukkah event. Sucks.Yep sorry guys! Hope you all got your candle sticks!

They were equal, it's just that out of all the crackers being pulled what are the chances of each being evenly divided? almost no chance.

Do you have evidence of it being randomly divided? Because these are samples from over a thousand spawned crackers being pulled - with that big of a sample group, a 7% purple to 24% red seems like too big of a disparity to write off as arbitrary.

They actually aren't equal in chance. That is why in regular runescape certain party hats cost more than others.with 1/6 chances of getting a specific party hat, I don't think that'll happen.

Will RuneRebel's party hats have the same chances as Runescape did?
Also may the event start on the 23rd? I've got things to do after ;l

It's already the 22nd of december, wheres the event? lol
So excited, so is it gonna be party hats, or will it end up being something unexpected. Not party hats.
Its not going to be Santas or phats. They Wait for a bigger community before they use that. I guess hats&scarves.
Now that we are releasing later today I think it is safe to say that we will be doing a event based off the 2005 Christmas event. It will commence later today. Probably in the afternoon since we had some troubles with something we are releasing with it so we are going to have to do some last minute coding. The rewards will be hat's scarves, and marionettes :) I will be posting an announcement when the event has started later today.Just dont release it too late. Im going to bed in like 3 hrs :) and after that i wont be home for 3 days or so :p
If you do miss it, it probably won't end until a few days after new years, so don't worry :)Now that we are releasing later today I think it is safe to say that we will be doing a event based off the 2005 Christmas event. If it's anythingnear the actual 2005 event, I might cry tears of joy.
any minute now.. :)
unfortunately the event is probably going to have to come out on the 24'th. Believe us we are trying our hardest to push out this event but it isn't quite ready yet. Sorry guys :(

Should have started preparing earlier. RS christmas events start around a week before the 25th, not the day before.

Who cares. Do you start opening your presents the week before Christmas?
Anyways, from the RuneRebels fb page.
