Personally have never attempted it. This is the FASTEST way in my opinion. Never said it made the most profit. I will add more methods in the future.

Surely fly fish + dropping would be faster?

If you want to, I didn't drop though. I banked everything I fished. :o

and no, lobsters are the fastest as the level doesn't effect catching speed yet. You get an inventory of lobster faster than an inventory of trout and salmon.
