Hey everyone,

I'm really excited to announce that AllGoFree is back. In the next couple of weeks, we'll be introducing some more members of the development staff we're building, as well as some things to expect in the future. A lot of the stuff is going to be awesome, some of it not so awesome at first, but in the end it'll all be awesome.

First things first. All of our servers are becoming too scattered and we hate that. What we're going to be doing is merging all of our servers to one forum, with the URL to be announced in the future. All of our other urls will direct you there at that point, and there will be different boards for different servers. Not only does it make it easier for us to moderate, but it will also affect our ability to fix bugs. This should happen sometime between March and April.

Secondly, we're going to look into bringing 1-2 full time RuneRebels exclusive developers. These one to two people will focus SOLELY on RuneRebels and not any of our other projects or servers. With the plugin API functioning and nearing 100% completion, it'll be easier for us to implement different updates. We're also looking at bringing on one more player moderator, which we're currently searching for in house.

Last, I want to apologize for the away time. Once the database is up and fully functioning, I'm going to promise you guys a small-scale update for the time being, until we get everything a little more organized. We are not planning on any resets or adjustments to the XP rates at this time, and don't think it'll be visited anytime soon.

In lieu of some of the updates on bug fixes, I've updated my list which includes a major exploit that was secretly reported and fixed, and one other fix that makes the jobs of moderators and admins life's easier.

Good looks to who found this and reported it, glad folks who are honorable still exist with us at RuneRebels as it is in this state

Not to be an ass kiss but when they did update things, most of the community whined at the bugs or the incompleteness.

But like Riipiin said, Ryan is the only one who can make the majority of changes regardless of how simple they may seem, and Ryan has an awful case of saying he will do things then disappearing. This has proved frustrating (and has been the result of multiple staff resignations) to us all. If you dig through the forums you will see this for yourself, but

OSRS creatively destroyed the demand for Oldschool Remakes. That was honestly a good move by Jagex because there was so much demand for OS servers. Even if they mess up I'm sure the loyalists will keep playing, I will never play their games again.

They openly in made the decision (telling us over live twitch) to operate for money rather than player preference. They will throw a poll in favor of what their statistician says is best for $ *cough* E.O.C. *cough*. That being said, even Jagex $/players was down which is probably why they released F2P in the fashion they did.

It'd just be another NPC to mindlessly range kill without any fire. KBD also provides us with no new items in-game. Sounds like a waste of time to me  :-X, unless of course it is done right.

Pros: New boss / cave
Cons: No new items come from KBD, could would be camped (endlessly without fire) for commonly dropped, high price alching items. Would get boring just as fast as any other NPC would.

But if you make it an open code. You could add the Actual KBD when you want to. If you understand what i mean.

Ok so if this API is ever released (open code thing you mentioned), it won't be just a "drag and drop" things into the game. It will require you to actually know a few things about RSPS in general and be able to apply them to create something (even an NPC) that functions somewhat normal. Say KBD is planned to be released though, with the fact that someone just dropped it in the cave, this is what you would have to deal with;

The cave levers would break and players would be stuck inside. (Depending on how the game looks at the cave terrain at the moment, it could be considered wild, and you might be unable to teleport out).
KBD only has one melee style of attack, where it should not only do dragon breath damage, but also the dragon breath has an elemental color (air, fire, or water) that is chosen at random.

But chaos elemental drops the legendary d2h! 92+ strength bonus!!
d2h would be crazy. I'd be up for having 5 or 6 people with them all specing at the same time to see what happens. Inb4runeception
