No skyrim will not be able to run on high graphics, it might be able to run though with somewhat decent fps on low or medium though.

His computer specs are fine for Skyrim.

You'll be able to run any game that you can think of.

How well though, is questionable.

If I were you, I'd look into getting some more RAM. :-)

Why have an i7 processor if you're not going to use all of it? :D

I'm not saying more RAM is necessary. I'm saying it wouldn't be an idea to invest in it.

*EDIT* RAM is never going to get any cheaper, just more expensive. With some of the new video game systems coming out, I would assume PCs will follow with new processors. Since Samsung released DDR-4 in early 2011, I would assume DDR-5 isn't far away.

I didn't get but I got this instead. It's cheaper but still has the same specs other than the video card but hey that's what I have a ps3 for.

It is refurbished and was wondering what you guys think about refurbished laptops.

I'm also getting this mouse for it.

The gt630m won't be able to run new games.... it will struggle to run bf3 at 30+ fps on low. If you actually want a computer for gaming you have to spend at least 1200 on a laptop or just build yourself a desktop. Skyrim will run on medium but definitely not on high-ultra at least not without drops below 30fps in certain areas.

Yup I browse the forums from time to time, also I idle on IRC a lot. I just have no interest anymore in playing Runescape because it's just a grind-fest that gets boring very very fast.
